About Us

Dieter and Rose met serendipitously in 2017. Dieter an independent documentary filmmaker, who lectures in ethnographic and documentary film at UCL. Rose had been working in community development in the East End of London. We realised we had a shared interest in documentary cinema and its potential to support communities.

We are interested in the quieter voice – the untold side of each story – and we believe it is fundamental that contributors be heard and respected. That approach fosters an atmosphere of trust and empathy, which leads to intimate and emotionally truthful films.

We never compromise our contributors for the sake of our own artistic intent, and we strive to portray communities and individuals accurately and authentically. What characterises all of our work is a thoughtful and considered approach, as well as strong cinematic vision. We work with a tight-knit team of directors and producers who share our values.
